Due to the lighting in summer it can be a little bit mathematical trying to catch the sun at the correct angle for the perfect portraits. I’d love to offer sessions during the afternoon but unfortunately it’s not worth it when the sun is positioned high in the sky due to lack of shade on the beach, trust me. For sunny days, sessions take place no later than 11am but ideally before or after 5-6pm. The best and my favourite time to photograph is during golden hour which starts around 1 hour prior to sunset. If you’re not particular on a sunny day for your session cloudy skies are so beautiful to photograph underneath too and sessions can go ahead at any time of day during this weather.(It’s Scotland so this is likely.) Our typical white sky days actually provide the best lighting source at the beach, they act as a giant reflector. Sunny conditions are much worse to photograph in and tricky to navigate lighting wise.

This half price offer is for a beach session during golden hour and sunset in either June/July/August. Please keep in mind that this will be after 9pm when the sun sets during summer and is not ideal for those on a set bedtime schedule.

While a date doesn’t need locked down today, to get you booked in for Summer I do need to know which month you would like your session to take place( June, July or August) and which days of the week or particular dates work for you. (JUNE & JULY WEEKENDS ARE FULLY BOOKED)
